Note: The .hfcs was saved in HitFilm Pro 9. It wont open in older versions of HitFilm Pro. You can still import the .obj and rig the model yourself if you have an older version of HitFilm Pro.
Materials and textures have been tweaked in HitFilm Pro. Final results depends on you the artist.
One high poly mesh in .obj with one 8K 16 bit .exr texture set and 5 materials in one UV atlas.
Perfect for for close ups and midground shots lite enough to instance or duplicate several times in your favorite particle engine.
One low poly mesh in .obj with one 2K 16 bit .exr texture set and 5 materials in one UV atlas.
Optimized for background to midground shots and mass instancing or mass duplication in your favorite particle engine. Easy to create massive background dog fights.
Included .exr texture maps [per 3D mesh] in one convenient UV atlas with no overlapping UVs. Can be opened in any software that supports open .exr files.
Diffuse/Albedo map : 2
Specular map : 1
Surface map : 3
Normal map : 1 Baked for use in HitFilm Pro 9 3D coordinate system.
Utility mask : Inverted AO : Edges
Easily import into your favorite 3D app via the provided .obj files.
You may need to relink the texture maps to the material slots but it is super easy, just load the same texture set into each materials slot as everything shares a single UV Atlas.
Easily import into HitFilm Pro 9 via the provided .hfcs file with no issues or alternately,
import and rig the model yourself via the provided .obj files which may not work as expected. In this case you will need to relink the textures to the material slots but it is super easy, just load the same texture set into each material slot as everything shares the same UV Atlas.
Tested in HitFilm Pro 9 on Windows 10 Pro.
The .hfcs may not work as expected in older versions of HitFilm Pro and or in Windows 7 due to the fact that there is no support for HitFilm Pro on Windows 7. A HitFilm Composite Shot or .hfcs created in HitFilm Pro 9 is not compatible with an older version of HitFilm Pro. For example, a HitFilm Pro 9 project wont work as expected in HitFilm Pro 3 or Hitfilm Pro 4.
In HitFilm Pro 9, click import Composite Shot and you are ready to start animating.
Model is fully rigged with easy to use animation groups and 3D surface points.
Easily attach 2D and 3D effects such as lense flares, smoke, muzzle flashes, 3D particle sim, lighting effects or your favorite stock explosions/flame/smoke. Model is set up with PBR materials and textures although you shoul really tweak the materials to fit your scene. To work smoothly and with speed during animation change your project settings to 8 bits per channel. When you're ready to light, tweak materials, color correct, grade and export your final render, change your project settings to 16 bit float linear color or 32 bit float linear color.
Blender was used to model, re-topologize, UV unwrap/Atlas and add materials to 3D mesh.
High poly and Low poly mesh both share the same UV space and Atlas.
Textures were painted with Blender and krita at a huge 16K in 32 bpc .exr and then baked down to 8K and 2K in 16 bpc .exr
